Hello! I am extremely blessed to have a successful business that I am so passionate about and where I am able to form so many friendships along the way. In 2004, I left a career in technology and project management in pursuit of my creative side and to work more closely with people and animals.  What better way to achieve all this than creating memories for someone as their professional photographer and portrait specialist! 

What makes me tick? I love meeting new people, animals (especially dogs), children's laughter, anything chocolate, being an auntie, traveling and being outdoors.  I share my life with a wonderful guy and fellow photographer, Kent and my lovable dog Ollie, a rescue from Puerto Rico.  I encourage and welcome everyone to include their pets in their portraits.  After all, they are part of our family.

I pride myself on putting people at ease and insuring they have fun while we work together capturing memories that will be passed down for generations.  

After receiving my Professional Photography Certification from Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging and Arts, I set forth to pursue my artistic talents.  Hilary Wood Photography was born and my studio is now located in Lakeville, MA.  I am also certified by Special Kids Photography of America specializing in photographing children with special needs.

I belong to several professional photography organizations including Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of MA (PPAM), and Professional Photographers of Cape Cod (PPOCC) which allows me to network with amazing photographers and continually grow. 

My photography has been published in Southern New England Weddings, Cape Cod Life Magazine, Audubon, Southeastern Massachusetts TravelHost Magazine, several internationally distributed novels by New England author, Sheila Connolly, nationally distributed book The Shape with No Name – Artwork by Carole Bolsey and several local newspapers. My photography has won several awards including the "Celebration of Life" Photography Contest in Louisville, KY and Canon & Photographer's Forum magazine's annual Spring Photography Contests.
